A pharmacy window has a dual job: both calling in the passer-by from outside and guiding the customer inside. A well-arranged window carries a clear message that changes with the season and the campaign. The small area in front of the till, meanwhile, is the pharmacy's most valuable visibility point; set up rightly, it creates an unplanned but valuable impact.

The outdoor window: the first call

The outdoor window is the pharmacy's face onto the street. When seasonal products (sunscreen, flu-season supplements, allergy products) are brought forward here, they give the passer-by a well-timed message. The window shouldn't be too crowded; a single clear theme is always more effective than a messy layout.

The till front: the impulse-buy area

While waiting to pay, the customer's eye catches most on the small stands in front of the till. Lip balm, hand sanitiser, vitamins or seasonal products turn into impulse buys at this point. Small, neat and frequently refreshed stands give the most efficient result here.

Inside window and shelf hierarchy

Inside, eye level is the most valuable shelf; the brands and products to be brought most forward are placed here. Lower and upper shelves are reserved for supporting products. This hierarchy guides the customer's eye in a natural order and makes searching easier.

Regular rotation

The window and till front become invisible when they stay the same. A layout refreshed regularly according to season, campaign and stock both keeps the customer's interest alive and gives the pharmacy a current, well-kept air. Modular stands make this rotation easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many products should be in a pharmacy window?
Few and clear is always more effective. A single theme and a few featured products draw more attention than a crowded window.

Why is the till front so important?
It's the point the customer looks at most while paying; it's the area with the highest impulse buying.

How often should the window be refreshed?
According to season and campaign changes; refreshing at least seasonally keeps interest alive.
